​Unfortunately, our planned sand volleyball and Southern coastal barbecue activities have been altered due to inclement weather. We will have a sunset picnic at the pavilion. Tiki touches are encouraged after sunset. We have arranged a delicious menu for your enjoyment and a selection of African American-authored books from our library for your perusal, aiming to enhance your weekend experience on Jekyll Island. Please feel free to select any number of books and inform us of your food preferences, if any.

Daddy had a deep appreciation for literature. He would often read with the aid of a large magnifying glass as his vision declined. We shared a common interest in acquiring books, both through retail and auctions, to expand our collection. I find great satisfaction in sharing books from my personal library for various reasons, primarily because it evokes memories of my father, who consistently had an exceptional book to recommend.
